Episode #2: Making AI Work For Your Business

This weeks podcast will concentrate on change within businesses as to how they go about their work because of AI, and what this demands of workers and managements. The guests discuss the ‘demystification’ of AI, issues around data protection and security, and what is the best approach for businesses to navigate their journey into AI.

Episode #3: Investment Problems And Quantum Solutions

This week will focus on new Irish businesses emerging that use AI to build their products and services for sale, and on how these investments are supported in Ireland. The guests also discuss how Ireland can compete in the AI market, what areas need the most strategic investment and the role Quantum Computing can play.

Sean Mitchell is the Chairman and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Ubotica Technologies. He has over 25 years of experience in senior executive management, marketing, and technical roles, particularly in designing imaging, graphics, and DSP processors, as well as AI and computer vision technologies

Patrick McNally is the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Equal1, a company focused on democratizing quantum computing. Equal1 is known for its innovative approach to quantum computing, particularly through their UnityQ chip, which integrates quantum and classical computing components on a single silicon chip. This technology aims to make quantum computing more accessible and scalable, leveraging existing semiconductor technology to achieve significant advancements.

Episode #4: Microsoft Bets Big and is Ireland Too Complacent?

In this week’s episode, we hear from Kieran McCorry about Microsoft’s approach and investment in AI here in Ireland, the role of proper data governance and working with Chat GPT. Feargal O’Rourke offers insights into the investment opportunities for Irish companies with AI, how politicians are using it and whether Ireland is being too complacent in keeping up with developments.

Kieran McCorry is the National Technology Officer for Microsoft Ireland. With over 29 years of experience in the technology industry, he plays a key role in representing Microsoft to various audiences in Ireland, focusing on technology leadership, AI, trust, technology vision, strategic alignment, and policy.

Feargal O’Rourke, who retired from PwC in October ’23 after 37 years there, the last 8 of which he was Managing Partner. O’Rourke has worked in the Foreign Direct Investment area for almost all of his professional career, focusing mainly, but not exclusively, on companies from the West Coast of the US setting up in Ireland and Europe. He was appointed as chairperson of the IDA Ireland earlier this year.
