Dermot Ryan


Dermot has a dual role as Managing Director of the Supply Chain & Retail division and Global Operations Lead. A Chartered Accountant by training, Dermot joined Uniphar in 2015 as Financial Director of Allcare Pharmacy Group, taking over the Retail Services business (later Supply Chain & Retail division) in 2017. Dermot has day to responsibility for Uniphars pre-wholesale, wholesale and retail businesses in Ireland and well as Uniphars Global On Demand Business. Prior to Uniphar, Dermot held a number of senior commercial and financial roles across retail, aviation and private healthcare.

Daragh Connolly


Daragh Connolly was elected as President of the Irish Pharmacy Union (IPU) in May 2016
after serving a term of two years as Vice President. Daragh has been involved with the IPU since 2002, having experience on Regional & National Committees. He was elected to a four-year term to the Executive Committee of the Community Pharmacy Section of FIP in 2018, and as Section Vice President in 2020. Daragh was section lead for the CPS Vision 2025,
Pharmacists at the Heart of our Communities. In September 2021 Daragh assumed the role
of President of the CPS FIP. He is the Chair of the Bureau of Pharmaceutical Practice at FIP.

John Carroll


Pharmacist John Carroll is the founder and CEO of Ireland’s leading pharmacy retail, buying and technology company, Navi Group. John first established Axium Buying Group in 2009, the largest independent community pharmacy buying group in Ireland, supplying over 500 independent pharmacies. Brands also operating under Navi Group include Thera Pharmaceutical Ltd,
TouchPlus Technologies, CarePlus Pharmacy and StayWell Pharmacy.
John is originally from Kerry and now lives in Kildare with his family.

Caoimhe McAuley

Boots Ireland

Caoimhe McAuley is Director of Pharmacy and Superintendent Pharmacist at Boots Ireland. A qualified pharmacist, Caoimhe has been with Boots for 15 years. She was instrumental in Boots being the first pharmacy chain in Ireland to offer HPV vaccinations earlier this year, and is a driving force in women’s health and menopause support. As a passionate supporter of community pharmacy, Caoimhe currently sits on the Executive Committee of the Irish Pharmacy Union and is an active member of the HSE Community Pharmacy Planning Forum, working tirelessly to drive innovation in patient care.


Paul Reilly

United Drug

Paul Reilly is the Managing Director for the PHEONIX group in Ireland with responsibility for United Drug, Lloyds Pharmacy and TCP Homecare. Paul is 11 years in the business with the initial first two
years as Operations Director. Paul also sat on McKessons European Leadership Team and is a board
member of both the IMVO and GIRP (European Wholesalers Associations)
Paul previously worked with Diageo Ireland for 7 years in Logistics and Operational roles and prior to that in the US for 10 years in both Engineering and Quality Management roles. Paul holds an Honours Degree in Industrial Engineering and a diploma in Quality Management.
