Annual sector review and benchmarking insights for community pharmacy
The Irish Pharmacy Union (IPU) is the professional and representative organisation for community pharmacists in Ireland.
From 2014 to 2019, and again from 2022 to 2025, Fitzgerald Power was commissioned by the Irish Pharmacy Union (IPU) to deliver its annual review of the community pharmacy sector—an initiative previously managed by international Big 4 firms.
Each year, we provided a detailed, data-driven analysis of sector performance, market pressures, and emerging challenges. The project was designed to support the IPU in its engagement with key stakeholders, equip pharmacists with industry-wide insights, and enable benchmarking against peer performance.
