According to Stuart’s daughter, Issie, his job is to talk to people on his laptop about really boring things.

Never has a career been more accurately and succinctly described. As one of Ireland’s leading SME sector financial experts, Stuart spends lots of time boring people up and down the country, in a variety of forums, on all things SME. He also has extensive experience in the Pharmacy and Scaling sectors. He writes about these sectors and his experiences as an SME operator in his column for The Currency.

Stuart provides strategic financial advice to operators in Ireland and the UK. He has a strong background in corporate finance and strategic planning, and advises a wide range of international corporations and SMEs on their acquisition, disposal, and corporate fundraising strategies. He is extremely well networked in the Pharmacy, SME, Scaling and corporate finance markets. This network includes all the major banks, private equity/venture capital funds, alternative lenders and high-net-worth private investors.

Stuart is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from NUI Galway and a Master’s of Business Studies degree (Management Consultancy) from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Stuart loves reading, discovering new music, exercising and hanging out with his kids. He’s a poor hiker and a terrible cook, but enjoys both.
